4 Seasons Chinese Food is a family restaurant established in September of 1988. Since then, they have become one of Winnipeg’s popular Chinese restaurants.

This Chinese restaurant has grown their market ever since they first opened. However, this also means that the waiting time during weekends could take as long as several hours.

On a good note, we think it’s an indication that 4 Seasons Chinese Food’s offerings are worth the try. We highly recommend to reserve a table ahead of time so you won’t have to wait.

Their classic and popular Ginger Beef is a must-try. For its price of $11.25, you get a serving good for two people.

Speaking of which, we like that 4 Seasons Chinese Food offers family dinners that are good for different numbers of people in a family. However, there’s only one set option for each family group meal, so you can’t choose or customize the set menu.

It’s also good to note that this restaurant also serves Polynesian Food, such as Beef Tomato Samoan and Polynesian Pepper Pot Steak, which we think are suitable for customers who want to try something new.

Lastly, our other favorite thing about 4 Seasons Chinese Food restaurant is that they don’t have a minimum order for delivery services. They’re also available for delivery in all major points across the city.

Pros

  • No minimum order for delivery
  • Easy ordering process

Cons

  • Long waiting hours
  • Mixed reviews

Good Earth Restaurant have been serving the community of Winnipeg authentic and tasty Chinese food since it was established on 1952.

The first thing that we like about Good Earth Restaurant is their great selection of Chinese dishes. With over 100 dishes on their menu, you can be certain that you’ll find your favorite meal here.

They have Chow Mein, Curry, and Egg Foo Yong, among many others. We’re also impressed with how affordable their prices are.

Good Earth Restaurant has deluxe combinations that come with some of their popular dishes like Lemon Chicken and Chow Mein for inexpensive prices. The deluxe combinations consist of five Chinese dishes and a single order costs around $10.95 to $12.25.

We also like that Good Earth Restaurant is available during lunch and dinner. And it’s good that they’re open during dinner time throughout the week.

Aside from the plated meal service, Good Earth Restaurant offers a buffet lunch. For the price of $10.99 for adults and $5.99 for kids under seven years old, you can choose your meals from their fried rice to vegetable lo mein and sweet and sour pork, just to name a few.

However, we think that the need to spend at least $30.00 to avail delivery services is a drawback.  So if you’re ordering for a single order, you might want to pick it up yourself instead.

Despite that, Good Earth is easily one of our top picks for the best Chinese food in Winnipeg for its great selection of meals and reasonable prices.

Pros

  • Open for lunch and dinner
  • Offers buffet meal
  • Near parking

Cons

  • Minimum spend of $30 for delivery service
  • Mixed reviews online

Kum Koon Garden is acclaimed as one of the top Chinese cuisine restaurants in Winnipeg. They have been providing authentic Chinese food in the city since 1977.

Their food selection ranges from steamed dumplings and bean curd to beef szechuan sauce. Kum Koon Garden also offers their special dishes like Honey Garlic Chicken and Gai Lan with Oyster Sauce, just to name a few.

If your go-to Chinese food is Dim Sum, your best bet is Kum Koon Garden. Their loyal customers are raving about this dish in their reviews.

In this restaurant, the staff go around the dining area to serve Dim Sum in a cart. So apart from their tasty food offering, you get to experience traditional Chinese dining.

Aside from their wide array of Chinese dishes, Kum Koon Garden is also known for its modern and elegant environment. The restaurant is embellished with oriental motifs that add to the whole Chinese cuisine experience.

With that, Kum Koon Garden is also a great place for banquets and parties.

However, we think that their prices are quite expensive compared to our other entries. Nevertheless, it’s understandable since they serve dishes made from the freshest and finest ingredients.

If you want to dine-in at Kum Koon Garden, it’s best to go there early. Despite having a spacious restaurant, the place gets filled in quickly, which makes some of the customers wait before getting seated.

Lucky Koi Express is a pickup and delivery joint that serves Chinese food in Winnipeg. Located on Portage Avenue, they’re easily accessible for their loyal customers.

With their use of fresh ingredients, some members of the local community have made them their go-to place for Chinese food. They have a comprehensive menu with over 80 items.

It’s also good to highlight that they have a separate and extensive menu for their gluten-free and vegan-vegetarian dishes, which is one of our favorite things about Lucky Koi Express. They cater to people with a strict diet, and they’re upfront with their food offerings.

Their popular dishes like ginger beef, chow mein, and chicken balls always get the rave from their customers. Despite being a bit expensive compared to our other entries in this list, their food is always praised as good and fresh.

However, if you want to immerse yourself in a full Asian dining experience, this entry might not be for you. They’re only offering pick-up and deliveries as of the moment.

But the good thing is, their delivery is free for orders over $50 and given that your location is within their 3km radius. However, to avail of their delivery service, you need to reach a minimum of $20 for your orders first.

Lastly, we like that Lucky Koi Express provides a catering service for minimum orders for 15 people. They have buffet-style party trays that are COVID-19 safe.

Established by Philip Chiang and Paul Fleming in 1993, P.F Chang’s is an Asian-American restaurant that focuses on making food from fresh and quality ingredients.

With over 300 branches in the US and other countries globally, P.F. Chang’s is known for their food philosophy. Their food is made from scratch and they only use ingredients that are flavorful and nutritional.

What makes this entry stand out to us is that they indicated dishes with gluten-free options on their menu. Customers with special dietary needs can quickly identify which dishes are safe for them to eat.

Their best seller, Mongolian Beef, is a must-try since their customers have been raving about it.  It’s also good that this dish can be ordered as a gluten-free option.

We also like that they offer family meals for groups of 2, 4, and 6. Customers have options for creating their group meal as well, which we think is beneficial since they can pick their favorite dish as a part of their meal.

They also serve weekday lunches until 2:30 PM. Some of their offerings for this are Kung Pao Chicken Bowl, Sweet and Sour Chicken Bowl, and Mandarin Crunch Salad. These meals are priced in a range of $15-$20, which we think are a bit expensive.

Despite that, we’re still amazed at the overall service of P.F. Chiang’s. They have friendly staff, and their online order process is easy if you decide on take-outs.

With just a few clicks on their website, you can easily get a hold of your favorite Chinese food.

Pros

  • Available for dine-in, delivery, pick-up
  • Easy online reservation
  • Open on weekends

Cons

  • Relatively expensive
  • Small portions of food
