Holland State Park’s Macatawa Campground in West Michigan is a must-visit spot for nature lovers and adventure seekers!

It offers well-maintained bike trails, perfect for catching those stunning sunsets. And if you want to buy some souvenirs, you’re in luck; there are plenty of shopping opportunities around.

But the real highlight of this place is the iconic Big Red lighthouse, which provides a view of Lake Michigan, and the sand dunes from there are absolutely breathtaking.

Now, I gotta be honest with you: the campground can get a little crowded, especially for those rolling in with their RVs. 

But don’t worry, they’ve got your back with all the essentials you need, such as bathrooms and showers, right in the center of the grounds.

Frankenmuth River Place Shops is a delightful shopping center inspired by the traditional Bavarian village right here in Michigan. With over 40 adorable storefronts, you’ll find yourself lost in that charming Alpine-inspired architecture. 

What makes this even more commendable is that they have something for everyone, from snapping old-timey photos to treating yourself to gourmet cupcakes and even sipping on some fine wine at Modern Craft Winery. 

4. Point Pelee National Park

Point Pelee National Park offers some serious eye candy with its stunning beaches and awesome bird and butterfly sightings.

But it doesn’t stop there! You can also go for a leisurely stroll along the boardwalks winding through the marshes, climb those lookout towers for some seriously Instagram-worthy views, or just simply plop down and chill on the sandy beaches.

But that’s not all. They’ve also got this beautiful orchid exhibit called The Orchid Show Untamed, where you can adorn different orchids and plants arranged thoughtfully in several rooms with varying temperatures and designs.
