Don’t miss Winnipeg’s Pioneer Day celebrations at Grand’s Old Mill on Saturday, August 9, 2025. You can tour the historical site for free and explore the interactive exhibits, which showcase what life was like for pioneers.
It’s a great opportunity to see the mill again, which has been closed to the public due to ongoing reconstruction efforts. For us, it’s always fun to see the community come together—sharing delicious eats and meaningful conversations.

We’ve yet to see announcements about the Pioneer Day activities. But if it’s anything like last year’s celebration, you can expect live performances, games, food trucks, and artisanal crafts.
If you plan to stay for a few hours, we suggest bringing lawn chairs or picnic blankets, so that you can relax and enjoy the show.
