Watch 9 International Queer Movies at Winnipeg’s Reel Pride Film Festival in September 2025
Reel Pride Festival is back for its 40th year in Winnipeg! From September 17 to 21, 2025, you can watch nine international movies highlighting queer experiences from various parts of the world—the Philippines, Iceland, France, and more.
Two films will play each night from Wednesday to Saturday at the Gas Station Arts Center.
We’re most excited for the Sunday finale at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, featuring Pride vs Prejudice, a docu-film about a teacher who was fired for being gay.
Other titles at this year’s festival include In From the Side, Close to You, Misericorde, Odd Fish, Assembly, Drone, Bullet Proof, and Sometimes I Feel Like Walking.

Aside from watching the feature-length movies, we’re looking forward to the annual 2SLGBTQ+ Short Film Competition. This year, they’ve curated a two-hour program, featuring up to 100+ submissions, for Saturday afternoon.
Festival tickets are now available. As of this writing, you can still get the Early Bird discount, starting at $12.06.
