Winnipeg Valour Takes on York United at Home Court on August 17, 2025
Get ready, Winnipeg! Valour FC is gearing up for a high-stakes rematch against York United at the Princess Auto Stadium on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at 2 PM, so don’t miss a minute of the action.
As of this writing, the club is in 7th place after winning only 2 out of 13 matches in the 2025 Canadian Premier League Season. With home-court advantage, we’re hoping that they’ll secure a much-needed win.
Although it’s been a tough season for Valour, we know they’re capable of taking down York United. They’ve already done it last May when they picked up their first win of the season with a score of 2-1.
It was all thanks to Kris Twardek, who scored an equalizer in the 51st minute, and Kelsey Egwu, who secured the winning goal off a set piece.

Valour fell short when they faced York for the second time last July. We were up by 1-0 for about 20 minutes, but the tide quickly turned when Julian Altobelli won a penalty kick in extended time.
Just before halftime, York scored two more goals thanks to Steffen Yeates and Adonijah Reid. Myles Morgan scored in the 61st minute, but that was all that Valour could muster in the second half.
Let’s cheer on Valour at home turf on Sunday, August 17, at 2 PM. Get your tickets now at ticketmaster.ca.
