Clients praised how intimate the setting felt. Because the table layouts and decor can be personalized, they achieved the vibe and atmosphere they wanted.

What we appreciate most about KitchenSync is their transparency, particularly with the rates and policies. They even have full-service packages that range from $500 to $1,500, making them a budget-friendly choice.

The most affordable set-up comes with a private space (6-hour usage), catering, and basic bar services, while the premium options add event curation and vendor coordination. Plus, they’ll provide handcrafted drinks.

That said, customer support isn’t perfect. We’ve heard complaints about staff being dismissive towards guests.

I had my 60th birthday party at KitchenSync on New Year’s Eve, and everyone loved the venue. Sheila went above and beyond to ensure that drinks were served and snacks came out just at the right time. The music system worked well making the dance floor very popular. I would definitely recommend this venue for any event requiring the services and size that it provides.

The space, layout, and furniture can be configured in many ways

This venue is one of the best in Winnipeg for a gathering of 60 or fewer people. Sheila Bennet, the owner, is gracious and accommodating. The space, layout, and furniture can be configured in many ways to enhance many different kinds of events. Sheila’s communication is clear and timely. She is explicit about what services she is able to offer and the charges are competitive. She accommodated everything I needed and helped me problem solve. Her staff were professional yet personable. I can’t say enough great things about Kitchen Sync.

Ralph Connor House is mostly known for weddings, but it could also be an ideal setting for various celebrations. Because of its opulent 17th-century design and beautiful gardens, Gatsby-styled dinners or Bridgerton-esque luncheons would be perfect here.

We like how there are endless ways to organize a party in this historic house, from intimate gatherings to grand birthdays. 

And you can even invite up to 80 guests! But large parties can’t fit in a single room. That means some guests have to be seated in other areas of the house.

Other than that, you don’t have to worry about the food. Clients raved about the in-house caterers who can do buffets and full-course dinners. They also make cakes, but if you prefer, you can hire specialty bakers on the special day.

We had a surprise milestone BD at Ralph Connor House. Kelly and staff were amazing. Kelly’s assistance played a huge part in what turned out to be an event that went off better than expected. The venue speaks for itself. Couldn’t have found a better place. Food was great. I thought it was very reasonably priced. A huge thank you to all involved. If you’re throwing a large birthday celebration, Novella is a solid choice with 2,715 square feet of space, a patio, and a courtyard. Safe to say, it can accommodate up to 140 guests.

We think the banquet hall looks so industrial-chic. Along with the open-concept layout and high ceilings, this modern facility offers a variety of opportunities for customization, fitting any theme and aesthetic.

You can even add ball pits and bounce castles for kids’ birthday parties, and there’d still be plenty of room for a buffet and tables.

Once the venue is booked, you can rent tables, plates, and cutlery from Collective at a discounted price.

The only drawback is that you’re limited to what they have because other rental businesses aren’t permitted inside.

That’s why Novella’s staff does what they have to do to help you plan for your event. Aside from answering email inquiries quickly, they were very helpful by giving suggestions and inspiration for the events.

4. Centro Caboto Center

Centro Caboto is an activity center where the Italian community plays 5v5 soccer and bocce, doubling as an event venue.

We like that they have multiple rental spaces, the largest of which is Mauro Hall, an open-plan space that fits 400 guests. It has a full audio-visual setup, including ceiling-mounted projectors and a large screen.

For a more intimate setting, La Galeria is a great option, with the ability to fit 75 people. You can also rent the Piazza separately for an outdoor area for other activities. 

And if you want to add bocce to the party, you must book Cafe 13. This fully-licensed cafe and bar accommodates 120 people and costs only $500, making it the more budget-friendly option.

Plus, the food really got clients and their guests talking. From the Penne Past to the Prime Rib, the banquet really impressed them.

However, some guests found the buffet selection a bit small.
