The only real limitation is that this specific location doesn’t have a full-size boxing ring for sparring.

Great location, inclusive, safe

This gym is exactly what Osborne Village needs. Great location, inclusive and safe atmosphere. The staff are friendly. It’s got everything you need and the layout is good. I’ve been coming here for years and will continue as long as they’re in the neighborhood!

Clean and safe for everyone

This gym is a huge part of my daily and wellness routine. The friendly, supportive and informative staff keep the gym clean and safe for everyone. Special S/O to the front desk guy with the mullet who spotted me while hitting a PR last month!

Contact: (204) 415-9661

Hours: Monday-Friday, 5:30 AM – 11:00 AM, 4:30 PM – 8:30 PM | Saturday-Sunday, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Athletes who get bored doing traditional routines will appreciate Community, a boutique studio featuring six distinct class styles under one roof. Here, you can cycle, row, box, lift, stretch, and flow to high-energy playlists led by supportive instructors.

Their signature boxing workout pairs heavy bag combinations with functional strength intervals in a dark room. It offers a much friendlier entry point to bag work than at a hardcore MMA gym.

The upbeat studio atmosphere also removes all the intimidation from everyday exercise.

The only catch is that downtown street parking is limited during daytime peak hours. Still, they remain a fantastic gym for anyone who thrives on group motivation and pulse-pounding music.

Pros

  • Six diverse group workout styles
  • High-energy dark-room classes with music
  • Beginner-friendly boxing and rowing formats

My absolute happy place

This gym is my absolute happy place. Honestly, just seeing the sign from down the block instantly boosts my mood!

I usually go here for the early morning sessions, and the vibe is just incredible. The instructors are so high energy and genuinely supportive. They make you feel like a total rockstar just for making it through the doors. I always leave feeling recharged and honestly, pretty proud of myself for getting after it 🤣

Also, a huge win>>> they started offering parking validation! In that crazy packed exchange district, it makes a world of difference.

Fantastic classes with amazing instructors

This gym really embodies its name, it really is a Community ❤️

Fantastic classes with amazing instructors. They really push you to be your best self.

Some of the instructors I’ve had classes with-

Amie: motivational speech after connect always makes me cry

Tessa: has the most BANGING playlists and feels like the most supportive friend in classes

Dan: full on karaoke session each class it’s my favourite

This place really changed me for the better emotionally and physically and I can’t say enough great things about it

Such a positive experience

I’ve had such a great experience at Shapes, thanks to Elaine and all the gals at the front desk! Elaine is always so friendly and welcoming, and she makes walking into the gym such a positive experience. She always takes the time to have genuine conversations, which makes the atmosphere feel so personal and inviting!

Great experience

I’ve had a great experience here. From the moment I walk in, Megan and Pamela are always super friendly and welcoming. The facility is also maintained well and clean and the overall atmosphere is very positive. I love attending Val’s active classes on Wednesday nights. It’s truly a community and I’d recommend Shapes Westwood to anyone looking for a welcoming gym.

A friend of mine swims here weekly, and she always raves about how spotless the pool deck and locker areas stay throughout the day.

  • Expansive 54,000-square-foot facility
  • Broad group fitness and aquatic class menu

Customer Reviews:

A good place to go

Wow. Great facility. Enjoy the aquatics staff and their swim lessons. Best lessons in the city, most experienced staff, for a very decent price. Supervisors and teachers are always ready and friendly to answer any questions. Membership gives you 25% off swim lessons. Gym is pretty equipped and is friendly to beginners and more advanced gym goers. Affordable prices, and always lots of deals. Wide variety of cultural and community events for all ages. Highly recommend. A good place to go if you are in the west/central side of the city.

The gym is modern, always  clean and well-maintained

I could not ask for a better fitness facility in the three plus years that I’ve been a member of Rady. The gym is modern, always  clean and well-maintained. The pool and track is the reason I signed up but their staff as well as the organization’s consistence in striving for excellence is why I continue to stick around. Thank you so much for being a part of my health journey.

Customer Reviews:

Great experience

I’ve had a great experience at Movement Fitness & Performance as a member. The space is clean, well-equipped, and they’re always looking for ways to improve. The sense of community is unmatched. It’s a gym where you feel supported and motivated to keep showing up. Highly recommend.

Awesome gym

I’ve been a member since shortly after they opened.

Awesome gym, especially if you’re into strength training. Not a lot of cardio equipment, but as much as they can reasonably fit in there. Very powerlifting/olympic lifting friendly. They’re always tweaking the gym, rearranging things, and buying new gear to make it better.

Very clean, well-maintained, organized, and reasonably priced. Really friendly staff.
