Visage is one of Winnipeg’s premier cosmetic skin and facial plastic surgery clinics. Dr. Esmail, Visage’s lead surgeon, has six years of specialized training in treating cosmetic concerns.

Unlike other medical spas, Visage is not limited to non-surgical treatments. It uses the latest technology, such as VECTRA® 3D Imaging and VISIA® Skin Analysis, which the customers love. It also provides customized treatment plans to patients.

Patients who need hair transplants are offered unique treatments that suit their hair situation. Visage uses SmartGraft® Hair transplant procedure, a form of FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction).

We love how Visage provides information about SmartGraft®  through instructional videos, such as what to expect and the step-by-step process.

According to reviews, patients love the result of their hair transplant procedure. The staff is also very knowledgeable and professional in guiding them throughout the process.

Patients can also book their consultation online and choose among the financing solutions they offer. They can use PayBright for fast and easy online applications on their websites.

A hair transplant procedure can be costly. Fortunately, Visage offers pre-authorized low monthly or semi-monthly payments.

However, there are several complaints about their customer service. It would’ve been better if they could improve on this aspect through customer service improvements such as offering chat support online.

Visage also doesn’t have extended hours on Saturdays and is closed on Sundays. We think it would be more convenient if the clinic had more flexible operating hours.

  • Online booking and payment
  • Complete transparency with 24/7 online account access

Cosmetica is one of Winnipeg’s premier microblading studios. It’s also one of the only certified PhiBrows artists in Manitoba.

Although Cosmetica doesn’t offer FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction), it provides a wide range of alternative treatments. It offers alternatives such as micro scalp pigmentation (SMP) for female and male hair loss.

Scalp micro pigmentation is a tattoo procedure that pigments small dots identical to hair follicles. Aside from that, the studio also offers microblading, micro brow pigmentation, and collagen induction therapy (micro-needling).

We love how Cosmetica sets the standard for professional hair transplant services in Winnipeg. For instance, its Microneedling eDermaStamp® is certified by Dermaroller®, the gold standard of professional micro-needling.

Moreover, Cosmetica’s team of trained staff is also a plus. Bryce Cleveland trained Cosmetica’s technician at Scalp Aesthetics in Arizona, one of the best SMP artists globally.

From what we’ve seen, Cosmetica’s staff are professional in handling their treatments. Moreover, patients attest that their clinic is clean and comfortable.

To determine the procedure cost, customers should book a consultation. Cosmetica also offers online booking for different services through its website, making it convenient for customers.

Unfortunately, Cosmetica isn’t available on Mondays and Sundays. It also doesn’t have extended hours during weekends, which we think is inconvenient.

Although they offer online booking, Cosmetica doesn’t have chat support available for patients who have queries.

  • Wide range of services
  • Staff trained by renowned SMP artists
  • Online booking available
  • Free Scalp micro pigmentation and microblading consultation

SpaMedica is Canada’s most recognized aesthetic care centre with its state-of-the-art facilities and industry-leading technology. It has been offering automated Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) since 1997.

SpaMedica’s strong point in our book is its team of experts who pioneered the aesthetic care centre. Dr. Mulholland has utilized his industry-leading technology to pioneer non-invasive treatment for over 22 years.

Dr. Mulholland combines non-invasive aesthetic laser, skincare combinations, and therapies. Dr. Bell is currently leading SpaMedica as its Lead Surgeon with more than 25 years of experience in plastic surgery.

We noticed that SpaMedica’s team of trained staff offers discrete and excellent service. On top of the company’s premier surgical and non-surgical procedures, its clinic is equipped with modern laser equipment, procedure rooms, a surgical suite, and recovery and overnight rooms.

We think that the facilities provide comfort and convenience for patients, which is an essential aspect of aesthetic care centres. According to patients, SpaMedica’s nurses are informative and accommodating to their concerns.

We also love how SpaMedica provides essential information online for its patient’s easy reference. Its website provides a list of surgical and non-surgical services, pricing, an online shop, and a before and after gallery.

Online booking is also available so patients can easily schedule a consultation and even upload their medical files.

Unfortunately, SpaMedica doesn’t have a physical branch in Winnipeg, which is one of its significant drawbacks. Although SpaMedica is located in Toronto, Winnipeg residents are only recommended to get FUE treatments from their clinic.

SpaMedica is also unavailable during weekends. They don’t offer extended hours on weekdays, which can be pretty limited for patients who don’t have flexible schedules.

Pros

  • Offer Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)
  • State-of-the-art facilities and modern equipment
  • Team of expert staff
  • Easy online booking

Cons

  • No physical clinic/office in Winnipeg
  • Unavailable during weekends
  • No extended hours

NuHair Medical Hair Transplant Centre provides the least invasive surgery for its patients. It offers No-Scar Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE), which provides a hair transplant with no linear scar and stitches.

We love how NuHair carefully assesses its patients before recommending them for surgery. If the patient chooses non-surgical options, the clinic also provides less expensive alternatives.

To ensure that patients receive the best care, NuHair offers free online consultation, which we think is highly convenient. Aside from that, NuHair also provides free touch-ups for patients who receive hair transplants.

On top of its services, NuHair offers financing for its treatments. It also has frequent discounts on its products and services.

For instance, it offers 25% off all solutions and products for patients under 16 years old and 10% off for students under 25 years of age.

However, it’s important to note that the cost of a hair transplant procedure may vary from patient to patient. For instance, patients who have had prior surgeries or have genetic conditions may require more expensive procedures.

NuHair’s services are well-loved by patients. Its trained staff is very accomodating and attentive, which we love. Patients tell us that their experience with NuHair was comfortable and professional.

Moreover, NuHair’s doctors and staff ensure that patients are well-informed before and after the procedure. We think this is a good practice, especially for patients who have anxiety during surgical procedures.

However, the clinic’s branch in Winnipeg is temporarily closed until further notice. Fortunately, it offers free online consultation through its website and provides services in other locations in Canada.

Pros

  • Offers No-Scar Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)
  • Offers financing services and discounts
  • Free online consultation
  • Free hair transplant touch-ups

Cons

  • Temporarily closed
  • No chat support
