5 Best Phone Repair Shops in Winnipeg for Cracks, Glitches & More

Technical expertise: We picked shops with skilled techs who can tackle today’s trickier smartphone problems without the guesswork.

Part quality: Cheap parts can mean repeat repairs. We favoured shops using reliable components backed by solid warranties.

Speed: No one wants to be phone-less for days. We looked for quick turnarounds and same-day fixes where possible.

Customer trust: Clear pricing and straight answers matter. We highlighted shops known for honest diagnostics and transparent service.

I’d barely made it out of the cellphone store with my shiny new smartphone when gravity decided to test the warranty. One drop later, I was staring at a cracked screen and questioning all my life choices.

That’s when finding the best phone repair in Winnipeg suddenly became very important. I wanted somewhere quick, reliable, and honest enough not to turn one bad drop into an even worse bill.

So, I rounded up local repair shops that can handle cracked screens, tired batteries, and other phone mishaps. If your device has also had an unfortunate meeting with a Winnipeg sidewalk, these spots are worth a look.

How much does phone repair cost in Winnipeg?

Phone repair in Winnipeg can cost anywhere from $49 to $449, depending on the device and the damage. Newer or premium phone models usually cost more to fix.

An iPhone screen repair typically runs from $79 to $349. Samsung screen repairs are usually around $89 to $449.

A battery replacement may cost about $49 to $149. Diagnostic testing is often around $49, though some shops credit this toward the final repair bill.

1. Mobile Tech Lab St. Vital

Website

Address: 845 Dakota St #25

Contact: (204) 500-9757

Hours: Monday-Saturday, 9 AM – 7 PM | Sunday, noon – 7 PM

Mobile Tech Lab St. Vital is the kind of place I’d check first after an accidental phone-versus-pavement moment. They handle most repairs the same day when parts are in stock, which is handy when being offline feels like a minor emergency.

They work on newer devices as well as older iPhones where compatible parts are still available. Premium factory-equivalent parts are also offered, so you’ve got options depending on your budget and device.

Most repairs come with a one-year warranty against replacement-part defects. Do note that battery replacements are covered for three months, so it’s worth checking the warranty terms before booking.

The main drawback is Sunday timing. They don’t open until noon, three hours later than the rest of the week, so early weekend drop-offs aren’t an option.

Pros

  • Same-day service available for most repairs when parts are in stock
  • Repairs newer devices and older iPhones where parts are available
  • Premium factory-equivalent replacement parts available
  • One-year warranty on most repairs

Cons

  • Battery replacements have a shorter three-month warranty
  • Opens later on Sundays at noon

10 minutes in and out

Greeting was instant, saw what the issue was and fixed immediately!  Was able to charge for a few moments, get a new screen protector installed, and be able to use the phone before we even left the store, even though we came in with a non-functional phone.   10 minutes in and out.  Will definitely be back for any repair needs!!!

Fantastic service

Wow, such fantastic service. Had to go twice in two days for different reasons. The cost of repair was not a big burn on my wallet, and it was relatively quick both times. Tomi at the front desk was wonderful to talk to as well! Very intelligent and also tech-savvy! In fact, I have never met someone in customer service who is as wonderful to talk to. If I have any more issues with my phone, Mobile Tech Labs on Corydon is the place to go!

2. TecFix

Website

Address: E-1094 Nairn Avenue

Contact: 204-813-1993

Hours: Monday-Saturday, 10 AM – 6 PM

TecFix won me over by keeping the tech talk refreshingly simple. When I brought in my struggling iPhone 15, they walked me through the repair options without making me feel like I needed an engineering degree.

They offer practical in-store diagnostics and explain likely costs before getting started. Many common repairs can also be finished the same day when the right parts are in stock.

Booking online is handy, but walk-ins are welcome too. They also repair laptops and other electronics, which makes them useful when more than just your phone decides to misbehave.

The main drawback is that they’re closed on Sundays. Same-day service also depends on parts availability, so less common repairs may take a little longer.

Pros

  • Clear, easy-to-understand repair explanations
  • Upfront pricing before repairs begin
  • Same-day service for many common fixes
  • Online booking and walk-ins available
  • Also repairs laptops and other electronics

Cons

  • Closed on Sundays
  • Same-day repairs depend on parts availability

Can’t recommend this place more

Took my iPhone 15 here after it was water damaged, was completely unresponsive, and wasn’t backed up. The Apple Store told me there was nothing they could do and that the phone was done for. The people at TecFix were not only able to recover all my data (for a fraction of the price as the place Apple recommended), but also would have been able to repair the phone if I wanted. Can’t recommend this place more.

Highly recommended

Gary helped me out with a botched repair of my own. I called ahead of time, and to my surprise knew instantly what to do, not even looking at the phone. Went in, quoted me the price, had it done within 3 hours, and the phone works like new now! Highly recommended and extremely knowledgeable staff! Well done!

3. Mobile Klinik

Address: 1555 Regent Ave W Unit #T30

Contact: 431-482-1613

Hours: Monday-Friday, 10 AM – 8 PM | Saturday, 10 AM – 6 PM | Sunday, 11 AM – 6 PM

Mobile Klinik is a handy option when your phone suddenly decides it’s had enough. Common fixes like screen or battery replacements can often be wrapped up in 60 minutes or less.

Their technicians cover more than just hardware repairs too. They can help with data protection, software updates, performance optimization, and other everyday phone issues.

I also like that they sell Certified Pre-Owned refurbished phones in store. That gives you a practical fallback if your current device is beyond rescuing.

The catch is that the speedy turnaround isn’t guaranteed for every repair. More complicated problems, unavailable parts, or busy periods can keep your phone on the bench a little longer.

Pros

  • Many common repairs completed in 60 minutes or less
  • Certified Pre-Owned refurbished phones available
  • Handles screen and battery replacements
  • Offers data protection and software updates
  • Provides performance optimization services

Cons

  • 60-minute turnaround isn’t guaranteed for every repair (complex fixes or unavailable parts may take longer)

Fantastic customer service

I came in for a simple phone screen repair, then I spoke to Kay, and he was so nice and easygoing; he gave me a great deal! And educated me on how to better protect my phone! I will for sure be going here to repair and purchase phones going forward! KAY! You rock, fantastic customer service

Fixed my phone the same day

My two Google Pixel 8 phones had screen issues, which were covered under warranty through Google. This was the store Google recommended to bring for repair. They were fast and fixed my phone the same day.

4. Mobile Fix

Website

Address: 1031 Autumnwood Dr

Contact: (204) 306-8721

Hours: Monday-Saturday, 10 AM – 5 PM

Mobile Fix earns points with me for making phone repair feel a lot less mysterious. It’s a women-owned Winnipeg business, and repairs are done right in front of you, so there’s no disappearing act behind a back-room door.

They use high-grade tested parts for common fixes like screen and battery replacements. Their certified technicians also follow privacy-focused procedures while handling your device.

I like that you can ask questions as they work instead of nodding along to a wall of tech jargon. Their pricing is presented clearly too, which makes the whole process feel more straightforward.

The downside is the schedule. They close at 5 PM and aren’t open Sundays, so after-work or weekend repairs may take a bit more planning.

Pros

  • Women-owned and operated Winnipeg business
  • Repairs are done right in front of customers
  • Uses high-grade tested replacement parts
  • Certified technicians follow privacy-focused procedures
  • Clear pricing and easy-to-understand explanations

Cons

  • Closes early at 5 PM
  • Closed on Sundays

Very impressed

My visit to Mobile Fix WPG quickly addressed and took care of my cell phone concern, clarifying my misconception of the damage. The explanation confidently allowed me to understand what happened and what was required to undertake the repair. I was very impressed as I looked around, while I waited, at the level and types of repairs that were being undertaken. Very impressed! Will not hesitate to share Windsor Park’s best kept secret!

The phone is now working like brand new

Absolutely amazing service at Mobile Fix in Winnipeg! My wife’s phone had taken a pretty bad fall, and we were worried it was beyond repair. Thankfully, we found this place! Shishi was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and honest about what needed to be done. She handled the repair quickly and professionally — the phone is now working like brand new! Great prices, fast turnaround, and genuine care for customers. Highly recommend Mobile Fix, and a big thank you to Shishi for going above and beyond!

5. DAS REPAIR CENTRE INC.

Website

Address: 1838 Grant Ave

Contact: (204) 227-4905

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM | Saturday, 10 AM – 4 PM

DAS Repair Centre caught my eye because they go beyond the usual screen-and-battery routine. They handle microsoldering and circuit-board repairs, which is handy when your phone’s problem runs deeper than cracked glass.

They also offer data recovery for damaged devices and assess liquid-damage cases where repair is still possible. Same-day service is available for many cellphone repairs, depending on the issue and parts required.

I like that they’re a local, family-owned shop with some genuinely technical services under one roof. It’s a solid option when a straightforward part swap just won’t cut it.

The drawback is the shorter weekend schedule. They close at 4 PM on Saturdays and aren’t open Sundays or holidays, so weekend drop-offs need a little planning.

Pros

  • Offers microsoldering and circuit-board repairs
  • Provides data recovery services
  • Handles liquid-damage assessments and repairs
  • Same-day service available for many cellphone fixes
  • Local, family-owned business

Cons

  • Closes at 4 PM on Saturdays
  • Closed on Sundays and holidays

100% recommended

David was extremely helpful with a phone that was smashed up pretty badly. He explained the whole process, and I decided to just get a new phone instead of the repair. He held on to the old phone and, to my surprise, called a little while later saying he would be able to transfer the data over.

I would 100% recommend DAS Repair Centre to everyone who needs anything phone-related!

Thank you again!

Quick and efficient repair

David is 10/10 on his knowledge, speed and leaves you feeling confident that your phone will be better than when you came in. He uses authentic parts (not black market or cheap simulated parts) for your phone. I highly recommend going to him for any cell phone repair. Who knew this gem was hiding in River Heights all this time. Stop in and drop off your phone and grab a sandwich at Myers, and he’s finished! Thanks so much!!!
