What’s worth highlighting about Ron’s Custom Upholstery is that it’s an installer of Katzkin, which is currently the world’s largest manufacturer of tailored leather-trimmed interiors.
What we love about this product line is that clients can use the interior selector option to find the most tailored option for them. Another favourable point is that warranties for all Katzkin products last three years, which we think is decent.
That said, it’s worth noting that Katzkin doesn’t offer removable car seat covers. Clients will need to have their entire interior replaced if they want to push through with the product line’s leather upholstery services.

We think that this is a plus as it will be more convenient for clients to get specific care products that won’t ruin their beautiful upholstery.
Leather might be the company’s flagship product, but we’re pleased to find that it also accommodates upholstery made of other fabrics.
We also have to give it to them in terms of its services as it also does custom car seats and interiors, as well as re-foaming and repairs for cracked and torn areas.
Shear Perfection Upholstery also earns additional points for offering same-day repair services, although you’ll have to call in and see if they can accommodate you on the day.
It’s worth mentioning, though, that some of the replacement parts the company sells are pricier than what others offer.
Apparently, some clients were charged $500 for small leather and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) replacements, which we think is quite steep since these typically only cost $200 to $350.
We were also bummed to hear that some of the staff weren’t that thorough in assessing car interiors. Some clients noted that they had to return to the shop to have their cars rechecked for the staff to redo the unsatisfactory upholstery work.

We’re pleased to find that Ming’s services extend to different vehicles, especially classic car models. Apparently, the company does excellent repairs on old seats, headrests, and seatbelts of vintage cars.
We also love how the company does treatments on vinyl, leather, and fabric upholstery surfaces to protect them from stains, moisture, cracking, and fading.
Plus points to this company as well for displaying the prices for its services on its website!
To date, some are currently discounted, so we suggest checking them out to see if you can score a great deal.
Some of the services are also bundled, which we think are great for those who want to avail of more than one service.
It is worth noting that while the bundles include many services, most of them focus on exterior detailing and rust protection and not much on upholstery services.
Although we found one bundle that does upholstery treatments and cleaning, the package inclusions are quite limited and will cost $400 for small vehicles and $500 for SUVs, vans, and trucks.
That said, we still appreciate the company for offering gift cards intended for some of the services and bundles.

Alfa Upholstery & Furniture might be new to the upholstery industry compared to the other entries here, but we’ve heard that they’re a hit with their clients – and that’s why we’ve included them here.
What we liked about this upholsterer is that it offers five-year warranties for labour, and varying warranty periods on its select foam products.
We checked its partner products and found that it supplies and works with foam and fabrics by JF, Ennis, Elite, Charlotte, Robert Allen, and Avent Garde. We think this is a great range that gives clients plenty of options, taste- and budget-wise.
Another advantage of this upholsterer is that it accommodates payments via cash and credit card, which is an added convenience to clients.
We’re just a bit bummed that Alfa currently only does custom upholstery covers, refoaming, and repairs for seats. As of writing, it currently doesn’t do upholstery work on dashboards and roof and door interiors.
One more downside is that the company also doesn’t service all vehicle types. To date, it currently only works on seating for cars, trailers, and boats.
Having said this, we recognise that this may be because they’re still relatively new and growing. Hopefully, they’ll expand their range of auto upholstery services in the future.
