It’s noteworthy that Kern Hill guarantees “showroom condition” upon every delivery they make, and we can more or less vouch for that.
We found that most of their furniture lasts one full year without any manufacturing defects, so that’s a plus for us. Otherwise, they’ll have it repaired or replaced.

The first thing we noticed about this store is their timeless, heirloom-quality furniture. Because everything is made of high-quality wood, their pieces look heavily sturdy and strongly made.
Another thing worth noting about Inland’s is how they use only eco-friendly paints. We asked about their custom colour services to create the look we wanted and got the warm organic look we imagined.
We also found that they use different wood species, and their materials are sourced sustainably. Since we tend to be particular about the materials we place inside our home, this is a major plus.

Urban Barn is a store with a more innovative feel to it. Their designs and decorative pieces carry a more modern finishing, we think.
We were greeted warmly by their staff when we visited. That’s something we expect, honestly, but it’s always good to get it.
They were also really helpful – they actually gave us specs quickly on a leather recliner we were interested in and handed us a brochure with all the details and pricing. That sort of quick assistance is what we like to see.
The store is always beautifully furnished, and a lot of their furniture and decor items have an interesting air to it. We felt at ease inside the store, with none of the sales clerks being too pushy.
We also really enjoyed looking through their displays, especially since their pricing isn’t so bad for what they sell.
On that note, price-wise, we think they’re pretty fair at this point. Their items seem durable and could last years too, but nothing too hard-wearing.
One notable thing about Urban Barn is their virtual design studio, and you can do all your shopping online by appointment. Their designers will help you throughout the process too, which is another point of convenience.

Our favourite part of visiting their store was the experience with the lovely owners, who were very welcoming. Both of them gladly listened to our queries for custom furniture.

Compared to other stores, Lord Selkirk Furniture is a good place to go to if you’re on a budget, we think. Their pieces won’t hurt your pocket, and you still get furniture and decor that will last years.
