Another plus is their Ascend Hotel Collection membership perk. This program unlocks exclusive benefits like free nights, member-only rates, and a loyalty program—a win for budget-conscious adventurers.

Proximity to literally everything is perfect

“Been a regular guest for several years (couple times per month) with work – never disappoints. Service is always outstanding, the vibe is cozy (restored, early 1900s) and proximity to literally everything is… perfect. Not only do I come for work, but it’s a go-to for leisure. Highly recommended!”

Delta Hotels Winnipeg caught our eye for its convenience. Connected by Skywalk to the Winnipeg Convention Center, it seems like a perfect spot for business travelers or convention-goers.

The rooms seem pretty standard: comfy beds, free Wi-Fi, and flat-screen TVs. Perks like heated bathroom floors and designer toiletries are available as well.

We also learned that upgraded rooms offer balconies and minibars, while suites provide extra space with a separate sitting area. They even have a fitness center and an indoor/outdoor pool complex, which is great for those who like to stay active.

Plus, having two on-site restaurants—a British pub and a bistro—means you don’t have to venture far for a good meal.

However, there’s a catch we learned during our research—booking mix-ups. Apparently, some guests encountered issues with their reservations, which can be a major hassle.

Pros

  • Connected by Skywalk to the Winnipeg Convention Center
  • Heated bathroom floors and designer toiletries
  • Upgraded rooms offer balconies and minibars
  • Fitness center and an indoor/outdoor pool complex
  • A British pub and a bistro

Cons

  • Booking mix-ups

Their basic rooms offer a modern feel with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and a touch of the past with iPod docks. For a little extra, you can upgrade to a room with free bottled water, a Bose stereo system, and a comfy pull-out sofa in the sitting area.

Suites take it up a notch with wet bars featuring Keurig coffee makers and minifridges, some even boasting fireplaces for extra ambiance. And top-tier suites add the cherry on top with stunning waterfront views.

THE best property I’ve stayed at in North America

“I have been a regular guest of this hotel for approximately 7 years, and can honestly say that it is THE best property I’ve stayed at in North America. I attribute this to exceptional leadership. The GM has personally maintained contact to ensure each stay was to my satisfaction, and I found that any feedback was always appreciated and acted upon with expediency. The staff are friendly. The restaurant is top notch. The rooms are excellent and the hotel is spotless even at the busiest of times. Special thanks to GM Joel Waterman, he is easily the best I’ve come across in twenty years of business and leisure travel!”
